Dr. Samantha Pearman-Kanza is a senior enterprise fellow at the University of Southampton. Pearman-Kanza obtained her PhD in web science from the University of Southampton. Her research involves applying computer science techniques to the scientific domain, specifically through the use of semantic web technologies and artificial intelligence. Pearman-Kanza is the principal investigator for the Careers and Skills for Data-driven Research Network, and the Pathfinder Lead on Process Recording for the Physical Sciences Data Infrastructure (PSDI) Initiative. She is part of the AIChemy Hub Team (run out of Imperial College London and the University of Liverpool), working on process recording and data management. She also sits on the Advisory Boards for the Future Labs Live, and London Labs Live Conferences, and for the academic projects: Machine Learning Chemistry at the University of Nottingham, and the KnowLedger Project at the University of North Florida.
